K3: prices going up

Hi all:
I just noticed that the price of the KPA3 is now up (I think) $50 to $399. I think the 5 pole filters are also up ($20????). Can anybody check me on that? Does anyone know when this happened? 8-pole filters have always been $120 - that's what I paid in June when I
added them to the original order. Does anyone know when this happened? -- Hi Doug, I can confirm your question about the KPA3 price which originally was $349 for the kit. Likewise, their 5-pole filters are up $20 from $79 to $99. I do not know when these changes occurred nor if more prices have changed. Thus far Elecraft hasn't been cranking out K3s in huge volumes. (I would consider 60 units per week to be volume production.) Rather, it is as if each radio has been custom crafted! Under these circumstances, their original prices were far more than reasonable. Even beyond a bargain. More like a steal! DOH - sorry, I should have read that properly, but the 5-pole filters were
always $99 I think. I bought the KFL3B-FM and it was. You are right. The 5 pole filters went up from $79 to $99. The KXV3 also went up the same amount. I wonder if they will honor the price at the time of order? FM-filter was 99$ and supposed to come from Inrad.
Later, it was found insufficent because of low 2nd IF of 15 kHz, and was put to backorders. It is not yet clear, when this filter is available. But Elecraft told that original orders for this filter with 99$ stays as is in spite of better filter. All later orders will pay 120$. The original Elecraft 5 Xtal filters were 79$ and now the ordering date is interesting. But still it is a good buy. Elecraft isn't even making so those are probably more out of their control than you think... Actually, we do make the 5 pole filters in Aptos. INRAD only supplies
