[K3] scanning

Can anyone tell me if its usual for the scan to take a long time before it
starts (approx 20 - 30 secs) and sometimes just doesn't start at all, but I
I hold scan, it displays 'STOP' on the VFOb display and then I have to press
[SCAN] again

My K3 and I will be in Sint Maarten operating as PJ7/W6IZT on 1/6 through
1/8 and 1/11 through 1/13. I will be in St Barth's operating as FJ5KH on 1/9
through 1/11. 80-10 (and 160 from FJ) CW, SSB and RTTY. I hope to work as
many Elecrafters as possible!

If you're on the current firmware, scan should work fine.  I used it a
couple days ago.
