If I missed a post or so, forgive the duplication.
Can any of the folks who have a K3 make some comments about using a straight key and/or bug? Is it menu controlled? Do we need diodes as with the K2? thanks 73-k3hrn Thom,EIEIO Email, Internet, Electronic Information Officer www.baltimorehon.com/ Home of the Baltimore Lexicon www.tlchost.net/hosting/ Web Hosting as low as 3.49/month _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. The K3 has TWO inputs. One for paddles and the other for a straight key or
computer/keyer input. No diodes or mods necessary :) They're both active at the same time, so you do not have to change anything in the menu to go from one to another. ------------------------- 73, Greg - AB7R Whidbey Island WA NA-065 On Thu Sep 20 12:22 , Thom LaCosta sent: >If I missed a post or so, forgive the duplication. > >Can any of the folks who have a K3 make some comments about using a straight key >and/or bug? Hi Thom:
The K3 offers SEPARATE INPUTS for a PADDLE and another (external) keying device, be it straight key, bug, K1EL WinKey, parallel/serial port keying adapter, whatever you wish to use. There is NO NEED for a menu change since both inputs are directly available on the back of the K3. 73, Tom Hammond N0SS At 11:22 09/20/2007, Thom LaCosta wrote: >If I missed a post or so, forgive the duplication. > >Can any of the folks who have a K3 make some comments about using a >straight key and/or bug?
