There is a 12VDC output on rear panel and I wonder what "switched" means? I need 12VDC only on receive.

  Ben,

Switched means that it is powered when the K3 is turned on, no power
when the K3 is off.

It turns on and off with the radio. I plug in my P3 so it will turn off with
the radio.

The P3 and the PR6 both need to use that 12v socket.
