Or don't if you don't want a grainy 3mb picture of an aluminium disk.
Never heard of compression? Was the aluminum insert one of those sold for the Drake 4-line? If so,
there are ones available with an opening for the finger dimple. Having a few of these around, I'll be tempted to see if they are a proper fit as-is later this evening. Regards Eric NO3M (ex. Why do Elecraft owners want to change the knob? I just don't get it. Then the discussion on this thread turned to how bad or large or whatever the picture was. What is so great about the knob? I just don't get it! The K3 looks great with the stock knob. Lee - K0WA "Curmudgeon" In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply. If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it. If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense. The thread was about the knob weight.

Any fine instrument which is a pleasure to use, like a good KWM-2A, has great tactile feedback from the controls (knobs). Turn the main knob or the AF gain knob on a FT-9000 and then on a K3 to know the difference.
