I've just tried to scan the beacon end of 50 MHz and my K3 reports that
scanning isn't allowed on this band! Er, can we have that one fixed? 73 Dave, G4AON K3/100 #80 _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. This might be a limitation in the US? But certainly isn't here.
Which brings me to my next question... Will it be possible in the future to completely remove any kind of Tx limits by band? I realise this may be necessary in order to comply with regs in some countries, but it certainly isn't here - oh yes, we can only Tx within band, but we are supposed to be able to regulate ourselves - nanny state or what! I hope that that the K3 will be fixed to allow scanning chosen parts of the 50 MHz band, as well as frequencies a few hundred kHz below the band. Am I right to assume that the K3's receiver can be tuned below the band, at least to the frequency where the front end filters start to roll off? 73, Geoff GM4ESD _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
