Just received my "shipping soon" email for my KAT500-F. I ordered October
8, 2012 so they must be pretty close to caught up on factory built backlog. That's interesting. I have a confirmed order dated 18 May 12 for a kit and
haven't received any notice yet. I know it's still there because I added more to the order a couple weeks ago. Yes. And his (shipped) KAT500-F was ordered a few weeks ago and my kit order is over six months ago. Quite a difference in time since ordering.

Right, I get it. Kits weren't finalized until a week ago as per Eric. Instructions, beta testers, etc. all had to be in place. I'd rather have the kit and wait...that way I get to know more about what I bought.

I guess I would rather have an "F" unit that way I know it will be perfect
when I place it inline instead of a "error" due to a mistake that I made somewhere. Besides I need the tuner "Right NOW"!! So what is the delay in shipping a factory built KAT500 now. Sounds
like they are getting caught up and I am really thinking that this is the right way for me to go with my K3 and SGC PowerCube AMP. I dont necessarly feel the need to build a kit especially if they are caught up on pre-built units.
