KPA1500 placement question

I may already know the answer to this but would it be foolishness to set the amp on top of the power supply?

I'm afraid so.

Page 9 of the KPA1500 owner's manual, first sentence:

"Provide at least 4" (10 cm) clearance behind the RF Deck fans and above the
Power Supply top cover."

Ronnie,

Not a problem at all.  Many want to locate the power supply on the floor
to save space and keep the fan noise a bit further away.  If you choose
that, put the power supply vertically on its front panel.

Sorry, but Dick preempted me.  His answer is correct.  Provide spacers
if you want to mount them together.
