My old 2003 KX1 has low level LED/CPU switching noise. The switching noise frequency is lower on L1 and higher (and amplitude higher) on L6 (Brightest Level #6). L4 is about 80 Hz. Maybe the aluminum bypass (C10, C12) capacitors are opening up. i hear it on all bands (I have an 80, 40, 30, 20 meter KX1) and at any battery voltage. Anyone solve this issue? Paul,
There is a very small amount of that noise on any KX1, but it is not enough to raise the noise floor of the receiver. If the noise in your KX1 is large enough to interfere with weak signals, then it is excessive and should be fixed. Your guess about the capacitors is a good starting place - often electrolytics develop a higher ESR as they age. 73, Don W3FPR On 2/10/2012 1:48 PM, Paul Signorelli wrote: > My old 2003 KX1 has low level LED/CPU switching noise. > Paul w0rw > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > ... How do I hook led strip blue to allow them to flash with the bass?
I have ordered led strip 12v for the interior of my car and i want them to be able to flash when my subs hit, but i don't want them to blow. i have heard that you can hook them up to waterproof led strip light the amp but im not quite sure how to do that. if anyone could explain to me how to do this, it would be very appreciated. and i also have a clear backed box so if you could also tell me how to install them in the box that would be great. thanks |
