KX3 power supply

Has anyone found a "wall wart" supply that works well with the KX3?

Bruce,

Be cautious with wall wart supplies with the KX3.  Many are not
regulated and also throw out spurious responses that may not bother some
other receivers, but the KX3 with its 'direct to baseband' architecture
is quite susceptible to that kind of power supply interference.  You
will be more certain of success using a small (or large) linear supply
rated at 13.8 to 15 volts at 3 amps or greater.  My KX3 is connected to
a 35 amp Astron (with a suitable fuse - 5 amps).  That supply also
powers the K3 and a number of shack accessories.

I used the MFJ PS for the FT-817 small about the size of a laptop PS and
plenty of reserve. It works very well in fact been using mine for over a
week now.
