I just noticed my VFO B knob was cracked; I rarely use it, so don't know how long it has been that way.  A three minute phone call to Elecraft and the replacement is already in First Class USPS mail.  I don't know how it could get any simpler than that.  No mention of any charge either.

Well, not being necessary in the 1st place would be simpler. But
replacement has been necessary for many K3 owners. And evidently it
remains so.
