Local oscillator off on my xv144

W0WFH Bill
I need to set the local oscillator frequency on my
XV144. When used with the K2, I just changed the frequency
display in the K2's menu.  But now I want to use the
transverter with another radio on 28Mhz an the 144Mhz
is 1.5 Khz high in frequency.  Now on the XV50 there is
a variable capacitor to set the frequency but on the XV144
I find nothing am I overlooking something?  Please contact
me direct. [hidden email]  73, Bill

Why direct, Bill?  This is information some of us would like to share.
Please copy your replies to the reflector.

Bill,

There is no provision for adjusting the LO frequency of the XV144
transverter - unless you have a recent one.
Yes, the XV50 and the XV432 do have provisions for adjusting the LO
frequency.

Newer XV144 transverters have had to change the LO crystal, and L19 was
added to the LO circuit - download the new XV assembly and owners
manuals and you will see it.  L19 will give some adjustment to the
crystal frequency.
You may want to order the new crystal and L19 and install them in your
XV144 to allow the adjustment that you need.

David,

Some subscribe to the reflector in digest mode and will ask for a direct
response for that reason.
I can't speak for Bill's request, just saying that is one possible reason.
