MARS

Thom LaCosta
What's the status of the utility that was mentioned to open up the K3 for
transmission on MARS/CAP frequencies?

I searched the archives and can;t seem to find any information that it has been
made available.

thanks

We'll make it available on request to K3 owners. They can just email
[hidden email] with their name, K3 s/n etc.

Its complete now, but I'm waiting for Brian, our s/w engineer on this
project, to rebuild it with the same installer we use for the K3
download routine. He should have it ready this week.

The native VB6 installer we built it with initially keeps wanting to
install newer system files when we run it on W2000 and some other OS's.
We don't want to saddle users with that (and it doesn't always work).
That's why we're converting it to the same installer as K3 Utility,
which does not do this. :-)

This is a run once utility.

K3 MARS opening - experince?

Alexandr Kobranov
In reply to this post by Eric Swartz - WA6HHQ
Hello friends,

want to ask what is some experience with MARS opening on K3, if all is
smooth and running correctly. Something special?

You can reply off-the list if you suppose it is not so interesting for
the rest of list.

Thanks,
73!
Lexa, OK1DST

P.S.: If MARS mod is working correctly the only "Auto CW" option
missing to be fully happy ;-)
