I need to switch my K2 mic input between two mic sources (TNC audio and
a "real" microphone). Both have the default "Kenwood" pinout. In theory it should be a simple task IF (big letters) the proper sockets (male and female) and an 8-pole 2-throw switch are available. I do not know if they are. I am looking for one "ready made", though. Because I am legally blind in one eye, soldering wires in such a construction is not an option for me. Does anyone know of such a device? Thanks for all replies. 73 de K2ASP - Phil Kane Elecraft K2/100 s/n 5402 _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Phil, MFJ makes a wide variety of switch boxes. Perhaps
there's something in their product line that could meet your need. 73! there is - but I made my own (for a different rig), because I didn't
want to pay £80 for a switch! -- Either that wallpaper goes, or I do. - last words of Oscar Wild On 27 Mar 2008, at 18:28, Ken Kopp wrote: > Phil, MFJ makes a wide variety of switch boxes. Sorry Phil, I should have read your post first.
MFJ make two by the looks of it MFJ-1261 and MFJ-1262 with variants (although can't find them on the site) -- Patience serves as a protection against wrongs as clothes do against cold. For if you put on more clothes as the cold increases, it will have no power to hurt you. So in like manner you must grow in patience when you meet with great wrongs, and they will then be powerless to vex your mind. -Leonardo da Vinci, painter, engineer, musician, and scientist (1452-1519) On 27 Mar 2008, at 18:18, Phil Kane wrote: > I need to switch my K2 mic input between two mic sources (TNC audio > and a "real" microphone). I wish to thank all who pointed me to the MFJ 1272 series of boxes. They are exactly what I need. I do have to apologize for not finding it on my own. I have a blind spot towards that company based on a long delay that I had in getting a defective switching supply repaired, but I really shouldn't hold that grudge forever. I really do appreciate the Elecraft community spirit of helpfulness! 73 de K2ASP - Phil Kane Elecraft K2/100 s/n 5402 _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
