My finished K2

Mark Petrovic
At long last, K2 S/N 7809 is built.

Many thanks for all the positive feedback I got here, the many questions
that were answered, and to Elecraft for an amazing kit.  And, of course, to
Don W3FPR for providing unwavering expert guidance when I needed it.

I built a NorCal40A years ago, and more recently a K1 a couple years ago.
I always thought the K2 was too much radio for me, but I'm glad I took the
plunge.  With these three rigs, I own pieces of history.

Mark

Congratulations!
It is as you say, I feel as if I own ham radio history.
Once Elecraft started they have been my ham radio experience.
Building K2 S/N 40 all options was the peak of my ham radio experience so
far.
I am saying that with the K3S and full 500 watt K-line on the desk.
I probably will not go 1500 watts, 10 acre antenna farm.

That's wonderful Mark!  I don't "need" a K2, but if I had the extra
lettuce and my K3 were fully outfitted already, I'd buy one just for the
fun of building it.

Enjoy!
