Anyone using one of these? How is the viewing angle when used on a desk ? I
know, it's 3 am on the east coast. I ordered my KX3 tonight and have been gathering information. Time to hit the sack. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

I have one and like it well. It holds the KX3 securely with the stock rear feet hanging over the back edge. It's a tiny bit shorter in length than the KX3, not sure why, but no issues. Maybe so the cables are free to plug into the sides. The key is in a great spot, not that I am any good at the paddles, but then if it works for me... :)
AND it's much better than the stock feet for seeing angle. It's a bit narrower so the angle brace for the rear feet fit over the edges to limit lateral movement on the stand. I have one. I like it. I've heard that if you're really tall, the viewing angle isn't great but for me it's just about right. I'm glad I bought it. 73 Gil, W1RG > From: [hidden email] > To: [hidden email] > Date: Fri, 8 Feb 2013 13:45:36 +0000 > Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Nifty stand for KX3 > > I have one and like it well. of cherry I had lying around. I have received a few inquiries about ordering one of these. I am not
interested in producing these for anyone else. My objective (other than a few atta-boys) was to inspire others to make one for themselves. It's not that difficult. Many different materials could be used. In the spirit of HAM radio...make one! 73 - Dave - KB2NGK On Mon, Feb 11, 2013 at 12:58 PM, Dave Lindsley <[hidden email]>wrote: > This inspired me...so I built my own, out of 1/4 acrylic and a scrap > piece of cherry I had lying around.
