Hi All,
I just have to say that, notwithstanding all the sticky problems we've seen in production, it's pretty darn amazing that we are getting close to having 2,000 K3's out there. And apparently demand is still pretty strong. Let's see, 2,000 K3's at an average cost of $2,000, that's about $4 million! That's probably low, and an average cost of $3,000 might be a better guess, which would mean $6 million! Not too shabby! And I know a bunch of folks out there who have $4K or more committed to their K3. Congrats to Eric and Wayne for what seems to be a hugely successful design. All of us who own one should pat ourselves on the back for having a piece of a real winner--it will maybe help take your mind off of what is happening to us in the stock market!!!! I'm starting to think I may have to skip meals every other day! I just hope they don't need the credit market to keep the business greased. There are AAA rated businesses now who can't float short term loans for normal business needs.

Hi Guy,
Fortunately we're pretty conservative business people. We have no debt and have maintained a good cash balance. Our rainy day fund is in good shape :-) Of course this is also due to the excellent support from all of our customers. (Thanks!) The order rate is still strong and we will be shipping at the current rate through the end of the year. 73, Eric ---- Guy, K2AV wrote: > I just hope they don't need the credit market to keep the business greased. > There are AAA rated businesses now who can't float short term loans for > normal business needs. > > On Sep 30, 2008, at 10:12 PM, David Yarnes wrote: > > >> Hi All, >> >> I just have to say that, notwithstanding all the sticky problems >> we've seen in production, it's pretty darn amazing that we are >> getting close to having 2,000 K3's out there. Don't hold off on checking into the net until you get that new rig! Your K2 does just fine from Wyoming!

That is excellent news. I was worried the K3 was running at a loss. I can't see how you can do it for the price. Perhaps parts are cheaper over there, or maybe you are not paying yourselves enough. So - this brings in the question, now the K3 is in routine production mode, with only a few things left to tie up, what next? Mike |
