OT: great deal on netbook

Don't know if this is appropriate...
Best Buy in my area have limited numbers of ACER Aspire One netbooks:
Win7
2 GB memory
320 GB hard drive
Li-ion battery

$119.95

The two stores I went to didn't even know they had them until I gave them the UPC number. They looked on their computer and found them for me... hi hi
UPC is 8 86541 59373 3

Great price if you need a small computer

I have an earlier ACER netbook with a smaller screen which runs winxp.
The thing is amazing. It is a dual core machine It runs everything I
tried.. The HD screen does present some problems. One may definitely
need glasses if over 40.

The only problem I had was with the built in webcam. I could not get
another USB camera to ever work. I even tried disabling it by
disconnecting the wires to it. No luck. Hopefully this is solved in
WIN7. The other gotcha is that replacing a hard disk is a really chore
as explained to me by someone who had to do it.

It is really convenient to take on trips.

Thanks for the tip. For that price I will make a trip to see if one is
available. I think to list good deals on Amateur radio accessories would be
appropriate, especially since computers are as common as a key or mic in

Note that this is a "Chromebook" - it ships with the Google Chrome
operating system. That may be a problem with applications if one
can't convert them to Windows.

It still might be a good deal if one has an external CD/DVD and
can wipe the system to install Windows 7. Lacking that, they

Sorry Joe but that isn't the same one. This one is model 756-2899. It comes with Win7 home premium installed.
