OT storm safety tip

Rich Ardolino
Greetings,

I'm n New Jersey riding out the current storm. Last night I got up to go to the bathroom and while walking the power went off putting the entire house in darkness. As a senior, living alone and no longer really steady on my feet, I was lucky not to stumble and fall. I have lots of LED lights around but wasn't carrying one at the time.......so, during hours of darkness I am now wearing a small LED "Headlight" type....not all the time on my forehead but just loosely around my neck, like a necklace......very light and readily at hand in case the lights go out while I'm up and about. I also keep my cellphone in my T shirt pocket for the same reason, even during the day..... my cheapskate alternative to a "I've fallen and can't get up" pendant device. Just my suggestions for anyone in similar situation.

Regards,
