The window sizes on the screen on my P3 SVGA only go from 2-5 on WinR and from 0-3 on WinT when setting up for RTTY. The manual says the window sizes should go up to "40" lines total. I have the data font size set to the smallest font.

Tom, the data area occupies part of the waterfall area of the screen. Have
you tried increasing the waterfall height? -Bruce, N1RX > The window sizes on the screen on my P3 SVGA only go from 2-5 on WinR and > from 0-3 on WinT when setting up for RTTY. Just got in from doing some chores, Tom.
I am seeing a similar thing here. It looks like the total number of lines in the current (pre-beta) firmware is limited to something like 7 lines total. I have not been able to expand the displayed data area greater than this. Perhaps the firmware engineer (Paul) will chime in when he sees this. 73, Bruce, N1RX -----Original Message----- From: Thomas Lutz [mailto:[hidden email]] Sent: Monday, September 03, 2012 2:23 PM To: Bruce Beford Subject: Re: [Elecraft] P3 SVGA Tx/Rx Window Sizes The water fall is not on. Not sure what I did, Tom but...
I went outside and washed the wife's Jeep, came back in and turned the K3 and P3 back on. I was able to set the Tx and RX windows to 12 lines each. I am not sure what specific keystrokes/power cycling enabled it, but now I have tall TX/RX data windows, and a fairly skinny waterfall display. But in the menu it only shows 0-4 lines when trying to adjust it, not 0-40 as stated in the manual. Where can I found the download for this "pre beta" firmware. Mike,
You cannot find it. It is material for Field Testers. An email to Paul ([hidden email]) might get a copy sent to you as long as you are willing to report your observations and any problems to Paul. 73, Don W3FPR On 9/3/2012 5:36 PM, Mike Sanders wrote: > Where can I found the download for this "pre beta" firmware. > Thanks, Mike > > > Mike Sanders > KOAZ > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Hi Tom,
There are several factors that control the number of Rx and Tx window line counts. The resolution of the display, the height of the waterfall and the font size are the most important settings. Obviously if you're trying to use a large font (fntD=3) and a low resolution (1024x768) with the waterfall height set low, you're going to be limited to the number of lines that can be displayed. Try increasing the height of the waterfall and/or reducing the data font size. The current BETA firmware is available here 73, Paul
