I may be way off base here but I am curious...Has anyone ever tried using a "y" cord to hook two sets of paddles up to the K3?? or would they interfere with each other?? I think it would be cheaper than making a switch box???

"Y" would they interfere with each other? Are you going to use one with each hand at the same time?

I think it would be cheaper than making a switch box??? Y-cable (make sure it's a "stereo" one!) should work fine for normal paddles. You're just pulling tip or sleeve to ground when you close the paddle contacts... ~Iain / N6ML ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

That would be SO2K. Single op, two key mode! But the answer to your
question is that you can easily use either a Y cable or Y adaptor. I purchased a Y adaptor from Radio Shack for just that purpose. Works great -- as long as you only use one at a time.
