Paddles

PHIL-14
I may be way off base here but I am curious...Has anyone ever tried using a "y" cord to hook two sets of paddles up to the K3??  or would they interfere with each other??  I think it would be cheaper than making a switch box???

"Y" would they interfere with each other?  Are you going to use one with each hand at the same time?

Y-cable (make sure it's a "stereo" one!) should work fine for normal
paddles. You're just pulling tip or sleeve to ground when you close
the paddle contacts...

That would be SO2K.  Single op, two key mode!  But the answer to your
question is that you can easily use either a Y cable or Y adaptor.  I
purchased a Y adaptor from Radio Shack for just that purpose.  Works
great -- as long as you only use one at a time.
