K2 enthusiasts,
I'm looking for a self-contained system for fixed audio, mike header extender and sound card and really like the looks of Pauli Nunez, EA3BLQ's K2DI v.III and K2DI-PCI boards. Has anyone had any experience using this set-up, and does anyone know a source for these double-sided boards? I believe I might use a NUE-PSK for a compact digital and portable K2/10. Having decided to be happy with building modules and mods for my k2 rather than buying that KX3 or K3.for now anyway. Thanks for your consideration, KA5QQA, Robin Bayer Ps. Anyone ever try using the K2 S meter as a CWT.just thinkin ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Robin,
Unfortunately, Pauli EA3BLQ is SK and as far as I know, no boards are available. For the fixed audio out, you may want to look at my website www.w3fpr.com. I have no fixed audio out boards available, but the circuit is easy enough to build on perfboard. If the resistors and capacitors are laid flat, you can mount it between the Control Board and Front Panel and use an unused pin on the mic connector for the audio output. 73, Don W3FPR On 10/3/2013 12:45 AM, Robin Bayer wrote: > K2 enthusiasts, > > I'm looking for a self-contained system for fixed audio, mike header > extender and sound card and really like the looks of Pauli Nunez, EA3BLQ's > K2DI v.III and K2DI-PCI boards. > > > > Has anyone had any experience using this set-up, > > and does anyone know a source for these double-sided boards? > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Don's little audio board is perfect. I use one in my K2 for all digital
modes. Builds in about 30 minutes from parts you can get anywhere including Radio Shack. Sparkfun.com has a nice little 10K trimpot with a knob for less than a buck that works great. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9806 Mine is just foam taped to the side panel. Easily accessed by removing just the side panel. Here's a source for the N0SS (sk) tuning indicator. Works very nice and
it's very small. http://www.wb3aal.com/Pages/K6XX/K6XXCWIndicatorKit.htm Eric KE6US On 10/2/2013 9:45 PM, Robin Bayer wrote: > > KA5QQA, Robin Bayer > > > > Ps.
