Power output problem with K3

n1ix

I suddenly developed a RF power output problem with my K3:(

The power output just drops to zero. A quick power cycle fixes the problem temporarily. (not enough time for the K3 to cool off)
These are the things I have done so far.
There is no error message.
If I don't use for the transmitter for quite a while it continues to work much longer.

1. It happens on any band and with different antennas.
2. It happens at 5W as well as 100W
3. It happens when transmitting into a dummy load.
4. It happens in SSB as well as CW.
5. Antenna port 1 or 2

Has anyone else seen this problem?
Can you think of anything else I should try?

Re: Power output problem with K3

Fern Rivard
Re check the configuration of the filter used in transmit. I had a similar problem when I first put my K3 together.  Fern

Re: Power output problem with K3 Resolved?

I replaced the power supply and the problem hasn't occurred in over an hour of CW use.
I did get one error message though. It flashed "BATT LOW". I retightened the connection to the power supply and have not seen it again.
