Hi folks
many rtx can tx in qsk at 90 wpm with an external keyer. A friend of mine obtain good spaced dots using a ta51 keter of ik1wjq. He can hear spaced dots in his headset, but radio transmits dots like slashes . A good technician said him that depends from the clock of the rtx and from the qsk diode bridge. my friend is 500 km far from my qth, and I don't have a keyer able to manage 90wpm! so my question is: can k2 trasmit well spaced dots at 90wpm? thanks luca |

Luca - no, the K2 can't handle transmit with good timing at 90 WPM. I think the upper limit is 70 WPM using an external keyer or keyboard. I'm not sure how good the timing is at 70 WPM, but I'm pretty certain it can't handle anything faster. --Andrew On Tue, Nov 23, 2010 at 8:25 AM, iz0fyl <[hidden email]> wrote: > > Hi folks > many rtx can tx in qsk at 90 wpm with an external keyer. Not sure about the K2, but I can confirm the K3 in CW QRQ/ON does maintain
the weight ratio up to about 96 wpm. Beyond that, there are problems.
