I have just finished building the QSK box designed by Phil Silas AD5X. It
really works great! I use my K2/100 and ASL-600 combination for smooth
break-in. Nice to have quiet relays and to be able to hear what's happening on
frequency while I'm sending. This will be super for chasing DX.
Phil's plans are at
http://www.ad5x.com/images/Articles/QSKrevA.pdfI use Tom N0SS's T-R relay in the K2 as it is plenty hardy enough to switch the
QSK box relay and I have the KPA/100 in an EC2 under the desk
This is a great alternative to the Ameritron QSK-5 box as it costs only about
$100 to build if you buy new parts, and it isn't sensitive to static buildup
like pin diodes.
Highly recommended.
