OK abt the manual , but there are absoluty NO chance a tape can stop a mouse . I've just finished to clean the K2 , and after this , the problem is still there , so probably my problem is not mouse related. I'll check the control board more in depth later ( 8V and 5V are OK) . I suspect it is a controler problem , maybe the clock not starting reliably , more on this later 73 Dom/F6DRO > Message du 23/10/07 14:18 > De : "David N." > A : [hidden email] > Copie à : > Objet : [Elecraft] RE K2 Problem and new elecraft kit proposal > > I believe the manual says not to remove the tape off > of the accesories that you are not using therfore > keeping the bugs and such out > David KR4OW > K2 4320 > > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Tired of spam? Neither of the ones I've built had tape of the holes.
But, it does make sense to put tape over the blank holes on the inside. --- "David N." <[hidden email]> wrote: > I believe the manual says not to remove the tape off > of the accesories that you are not using therfore > keeping the bugs and such out > David KR4OW > K2 4320 > > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Tired of spam? G'day,
I blanked off the battery switch hole on the QRP lid with a small piece of PCB. Shined it up and painted it with some clear nail varnish. Looks good.
