Question: One presumes that you would use tennis balls and not potatoes.
Tennis balls are 2 1/2 to 2 5/8 inches and that is supposed to fit US sized PVC pipe. If one builds a launcher in the UK using metric PVC, do you then need to use metric tennis balls? 73, Fred, AE6QL -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of David Ferrington, M0XDF Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2011 3:36 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Antenna Launcher Thanks to all the replies, I was looking for the kit, but at £33.63, thats good value. You would need to use a 63.5 to 66.8 mm tennis ball in Europe. PVC-pipes in Europe are 50 / 63 / 75 / 90 mm.
63mm just fits in "European tennis-ball", not too tight. At least in my CSV19 launcher. But ball weight must be doubled by inserting pieces of nails or small coins. smile Benny OH9NB ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
