Works ok on my K3. Config. AGC AGC-S higher number gives faster decay as
should be.

AGC defaults to slow.

I can confirm that - it is at the bottom of the left column on page 31.  
Serge's observation is how it is intended to work and not a problem.

That's the beauty of searching the .pdf version of the
manual, instead of reading the paper version.

In this case, about the fifth click on "AGC" shows the
desired info.
