Hi Mark,

That connector (looks like an RJ11) is an accessory connector that isn't used for anything at the moment. Perhaps the guys at Aptos use it for diagnostics?

In the pictures of the K3 boards, for the front panel board, there is a
connector on the right side of the board that faces downward, through a
cutout in the front cover.  It looks like a Cat 5 Ethernet connector.  I
have not been able to find anything in the documentation that describes what
this connector is for.  Have I overlooked it?  Can someone please tell me
what that connector is for?

It's a 6 lead version of the modular connector. There is one on the P3  
front panel as well.  I think it might be a test port for the panel  
assembly.

sure would be nice for a mic or a separate panel to use fo mobile  
installation.
