Wayne, really liked your picture of the portable 'system' you put together.
Only one question: what is the "black box" to the right of the KX1?  Looks
like an external speaker of some type.  If so, why?

Hi Clark,

I had a hiking companion who stayed at my FD site for the first hour or
so. The KX1 is perfectly capable of driving a speaker, and this made it
easy for him to listen in.
