Re: K3 Mic.

K5HM
Hi,
I just ordered my brand new Elecraft K3.  I bought a Heil GM4 used last year
and I am wondering if I can use that with the K3?

Re: K3 Mic.

Matt Zilmer
I'm using the Goldline, no worries.  My MARS buddies tell me the
Narrow setting has a lot of punch and always gets through.

Disable mic BIAS and use the HI mic gain setting.  It will work fine.

It should work if you use the Kenwood adapter for that microphone. Check
the color band on the adapter.  I think Kenwood is the red one, but
check the adapters at the Heil website just to be certain.
