OK and thanks, Bruce. Batteries removed for an hour to make sure the
supercapacitor on the KXBC3 discharged. This reset its MCU. Connected the power supply back up, put the batteries back in and all now working as advertised. Solution provided by Wayne N6KR. 73, Stan. So does this mean you can not interrupt the charge cycle without locking thinks up?

Is there a way, I wonder, to get a print out of the configuration information that the K3 Utility Program (Mac version) stores?
I'm a week into using my new K3 #6884 and loving it. 73, Hoop K9QJS ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Hi Hoop,
At present, there is no way to get a "human readable" print out of the K3 configuration using the K3 Utility. The configuration files created by the K3 Utility are intended to be used only by the K3 Utility to restore the configuration back to the K3. There has been some discussion of adding such a feature at some point in the future, but I doubt it will happen anytime soon. David, W4SMT ________________________________ From: J.K. I don't have a Mac but is there an equivalent to Print Screen?

YES, and more - the equivalent keystroke (Cmd+shift+4) takes a screen shot and places on the desktop (cmd+ctrl+shift+4 puts it on the clipboard) - what you do with it then is up to you - print with built-in 'Preview' app that is much more than windows media, save it to disk/cloud etc., mail it to someone, whatever.

This feature would be really handy, not only for those lucky ones who can have more than one K3, but also for situation like "hey, I messed around the configs and can't remember what I changed, let's compare with backup". >>>>> "David" == David Fleming <[hidden email]> writes: David> Hi Hoop, David> At present, there is no way to get a "human readable" print out of the K3 configuration using the K3 Utility. As I've mentioned before, I did a copy and paste of the K3 manual to create
an Excel file of the Main and Configuration menus. It's not automatic, but it does allow you to keep a soft copy of your choices. Just erase or overwrite my selections (at the time I uploaded it) with yours. It available in the Files area of the Yahoo K3 reflector, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Elecraft_K3/files/, so you may have to join that reflector to be able to download the file. 73, Jim N7US -----Original Message----- This feature would be really handy, not only for those lucky ones who can have more than one K3, but also for situation like "hey, I messed around the configs and can't remember what I changed, let's compare with backup". Good idea! Using the K3_EZ program, simply PRINT SCREEN and PASTE into
your favorite drawing program - crop to suit and PRINT. It doesn't get much easier than that. Thanks for the tip. I haven't used it for awhile, so foggy on memory, but it seems to me that
Ham Radio Deluxe did a fair job listing the settings. Maybe I'm wrong.
