Yes, please.
Remotable, balanced/unbalanced, weatherproof, Elecraft. It doesn't have to be 500W for me - but I will take whatever Elecraft comes up with. cln WB5BKL On Sat, 2010-04-17 at 19:42 -0400, [hidden email] wrote: > ......as it holds out the possibility of an external 500W > > Elecraft tuner! All of the above ("below" actually) for me as well, but please, not just a 500W model. Way too expensive. Looking at SGC's website as an example, a 500W remote autotuner costs 3 times as much as a 100W model and twice as much as a 200W unit.
Maybe you can make power rating an option...with the brains of the tuner on one board and the brawny, power-rated components on a separate board? Order the combination of boards to match your circumstances. Just a thought. 73, Ken Alexander VE3HLS --- On Tue, 4/20/10, WB5BKL <[hidden email]> wrote: > From: WB5BKL <[hidden email]> > Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Remotable external tuner > To: [hidden email] > Date: Tuesday, April 20, 2010, 2:01 AM > Yes, please. > > Remotable, balanced/unbalanced, weatherproof, Elecraft. > > It doesn't have to be 500W for me - but I will take > whatever Elecraft > comes up with. > > cln > WB5BKL > > > On Sat, 2010-04-17 at 19:42 -0400, [hidden email] > wrote: > > > > ......as it holds out the possibility of an external 500W > > > Elecraft tuner! Hi Ken.
Do you think it is possible for Elecraft to acquire influence with a not yet mature autotuner manufacturer and provide guidance in a manner beneficial to Elecraft enthusiasts? 73, Dick - KA5KKT ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- All of the above ("below" actually) for me as well, but please, not just a 500W model. Hi Dick,
I would think so, but it doesn't strike me that they need the help. My understanding is that they tuners they currently sell are very good. It probably wouldn't be too much of a stretch to take a proven performer, modify it according to some of the wish list items floating around and provide a weatherproof cabinet for it. 73 - Ken --- On Tue, 4/20/10, Edward Dickinson, III <[hidden email]> wrote: > From: Edward Dickinson, III <[hidden email]> > Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Remotable external tuner > To: [hidden email] > Date: Tuesday, April 20, 2010, 3:03 AM > Hi Ken. > > Do you think it is possible for Elecraft to acquire > influence with a not yet > mature autotuner manufacturer and provide guidance in a > manner beneficial to > Elecraft enthusiasts? > > > 73, > Dick - KA5KKT > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > ---------------- > > All of the above ("below" actually) for me as well, but > please, not just a > 500W model.
