Really wide VGA monitor cursor for VFO B when split

mike
When running split CW and a particularly small bandwidth setting like Span 10, the VGA monitor freq indicator is huge, and unlike the P3's screen not as 'transparent', that is it is a distractedly prominent nearly solid red. When I am trying to find an empty spot to transmit in a pile up, it is hard to see where I am fitting in. I am not sure what controls the width of this cursor or the colors, but I hopefully can find a better way to set this up. I understand the the green cursor's 'shadow' width is set by the filter width I am using on receive, so it is likely the width of the transmit cursor will not be able to be changed. But can the shadow color be toned back a little?

I'm finding this a bit of an issue too!

Check your filter bandwidth setting on VFO B.

Hi Michael,

The transmit width is not affected by the receive bandwidth, as you figured out.  Let me play around with the Tx indicator's color and see if I can make something work for a future release.

Paul

Joe Subich, W4TV-4

Paul,

The TX cursor is incorrect in DATA A ... it still shows the default
bandwidth for FSK D/AFSK A.  With DATA A the transmit bandwidth can
be anything from < 100 Hz for PSK31 anyplace within the 2.7/2.8 KHz
filter to more than 1 KHz for some of the MFSK/Olivia modes.

    ... Joe, W4TV
