By "context filtering" do you mean the DSP can determine the "context" of the situation (ie signal strength, noise level, adjacent signal levels, etc) and adjust itself accordingly, or is it some dsp-speak terminology? Man, I can't wait to play with that DSP. I'll be up all night trying to code that passband display. A peek at the "KIO3 Programmer's Reference" would be nice. :^) -David W4SMT _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. The DSP filtering is adjustable so you can get context of the band around you, while retaining focus on the signal of interest. > Man, I can't wait to play with that DSP. I'd like a peek, too... 73, Lyle KK7P _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Another way to look at this is as an "audible spectrum display" in which you use your ears instead of your eyes to "see" nearby stations (their offset and their relative strength) while you are focused on your QSO (or trying to have a QSO!) on your spotting frequency. Thus, in addition to the other benefits, it provides a kind of audio-based spectrum scope for visually impaired CW operators. 73, Lyle KK7P _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
