Hi all,
I've now implemented the CW mode offset that many have asked for. When you switch from USB to CW, the VFO frequency is shifted up by an amount equal to your sidetone pitch; switching from CW to USB reverses the shift. It does the opposite when going from LSB to CW and back. This appears to be the industry-standard way to do it, and I confirmed that it matches at least one other non-Elecraft radio. If you're interested in testing this, please email me directly. I'll send you the present field-test code, revision 3.18. 73, Wayne N6KR --- http://www.elecraft.com ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

In reply to this post by wayne burdick
A quick look shows "as expected" behavior. It seems to switch modes exactly like the FT-1000D/FT-1000MP now and CW in SSB works just like the FT-2000. Those who are used to the mode switching behavior of the Yaesu rigs should be right at home with this change. 73, ...
