I don't think I asked the right question on my last KRX3 inquiry. I would like to know how to change the roofing filters in the KRX3 using the WIDTH control while receiving. It seems the KRX3 roofing filters are selected automatically depending on the settings in the main receiver. I would like to be able to manually select the different roofing filters while receiving on the KRX3. Can someone enlighten me on how this is done? Roy Morris W4WFB

You can do that by enabling *ONLY* the KRX3 filter you want...either using BSET for the K3 only or using Filter Config for Sub RX in the K3 Utility. It's awkward no matter how you do it. I don't believe most users would see the need to do this other than for experimentation purposes. 73, Bill |

Roy,
According to the manual, the XFIL button will switch between filters. Try BSET and then XFIL. I am not certain that is currently implemented in the firmware, but it is worth a try. I cannot try it because I have only one filter and do not have the KRX3. 73, Don W3FPR Roy Morris wrote: > I don't think I asked the right question on my last KRX3 inquiry. Yes, that is exactly how it works.
Filters of the SUB-RX are changed by XFIL or WIDTH after selecting BSET. 55 Lothar, DJ8EW K3 wid KRX3 2,7 + 1,0 Don Wilhelm schrieb: > Roy, > > According to the manual, the XFIL button will switch between filters. > Try BSET and then XFIL. > I am not certain that is currently implemented in the firmware, but it > is worth a try. > I cannot try it because I have only one filter and do not have the KRX3. > > 73, > Don W3FPR Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. It doesn't on mine. With B Set selected XFIL steps through the filters in
the main rx. 73 to all Geoff G3UCK ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lothar Sack" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Monday, September 22, 2008 5:01 PM Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Selecting Filters in KRX3 > Yes, that is exactly how it works. > Filters of the SUB-RX are changed by XFIL or WIDTH > after selecting BSET. > 55 > Lothar, DJ8EW > K3 wid KRX3 2,7 + 1,0 > > > Don Wilhelm schrieb: >> Roy, >> >> According to the manual, the XFIL button will switch between filters. >> Try BSET and then XFIL. >> I am not certain that is currently implemented in the firmware, but it is >> worth a try. >> I cannot try it because I have only one filter and do not have the KRX3. >> >> 73, >> Don W3FPR > _______________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Post to: [hidden email] > You must be a subscriber to post to the list. > Subscriber Info (Addr. On K3 #202 with latest firmware and the KRX3, turning the SUB ON,
enabling BSET, tapping XFIL cycles through the three filters that I have on the SubRX... NOT the main board filters. 73, Ken K3IU Geoffrey Downs wrote: > It doesn't on mine. You're right Ken. I had missed out the step of turning the Sub on before I
tried it! 73 to all Geoff G3UCK ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ken K3IU" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Monday, September 22, 2008 6:45 PM Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Selecting Filters in KRX3 > On K3 #202 with latest firmware and the KRX3, turning the SUB ON, enabling > BSET, tapping XFIL cycles through the three filters that I have on the > SubRX...
