Split ops?

CX7TT
When making the selection A>B then holding "Split" I notice that the
mode stays where it last was...i.e., 14005 on A and 14180 on B; after
A>B the B vfo is 14005 but remains in USB. I have looked thru the menu
selections and can not find anything to have the modes match after doing
A>B...have I missed something? If not, why not match freq and mode?

RE: Split ops?

Bud Semon N7CW
Hi Tom,

You need to tap A=>B twice to transfer all the parameters, freq, mode, etc.

A second button press is now required to transfer the mode setting.
According to the release notes for version MCU 1.87 / DSP 1.69:

"* A->B SWITCH: 1st tap copies frequency only; 2nd tap within 2
seconds copies mode
and filter settings."

Tom,

Several folks wanted it that way (for several reasons), so there was a
recent change.
One tap of the A>B button changes only the frequency.  Two taps will
change the mode and other settings too.

Look at the firmware release notes for further explanation.

Tap A>B a second time right after the first tap.  Then you will see A>B ALL.

Unfortunately, sending two software commands that simulate pressing A>B in succession doesn't have the same effect. So there is no way to set VFO B to the same mode as A using a macro.

OK. I mis-remembered the problem I had trying to get this to work.

I'm sending SWT13;SWT13;UPB4;UPB4;SWH13;

The two VFOs *are* being set to the same frequency and mode, and SPLIT is being engaged, but VFO B is not being set 2KHz higher in frequency.

RE: Split ops?

>From what I can tell, the UPBn; has not been implemented.  All you can do is
use up;  (for 10 Hz on the VFO A)  So you must use 200 up;'s (not
practical).  Then do a swt11; (to swap VFO's).  Also use ft1; to turn on
split.  (That is a number one.)  All swh13; does is toggle split on and off.

I was able to get the up4 (not the upb4) to work by keeping this command in
a separate macro from the sw commands.
