That's just wrong!

Colin WHITMORE
So, a couple of months ago I place an order for a newly minted K3.
    So far, so good.

I find out what the expected backlog.
Okay, I can deal with that.

I get a Katie-gram and bristle with anticipation.
    Things are looking up!

Just before Elecraft was to send it out, I go on vacation and the good folks at Aptos are kind enough to delay shipping until I return home.
Okay, so this is like "delayed instant gratification."

I get my tracking number.
...and wait patiently (okay, so not too patiently) for the delivery date to arrive.

The wife calls, the package arrives.  Woo Hoo, Snoopy Dance!  So now the bad news..., before I can get home, she takes it and wraps it for an X-mas gift and stashes it along with the rest of the packages.
    That's just wrong!

Even less patient,
Colin - AC0S

First, my sincere condolences for your "loss".  Well, to be honest, I found it terribly funny.  You wife is a wonderfully clever woman.  Hold on to her.

I bet you're suddenly reeeeeeaaalllly looking forward to Christmas :-)

LOL!

And to think this is happening while we're celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights...
Yep... plain wrong that is! (tongue planted firmly in cheeck of course)

Hang in there Colin, only 2 more weeks to go. I can assure you the K3 is *well* worth the wait.
Enjoy the holiday season and the unwrapping of *the box from Aptos*

Colin,

Go out and buy her a $2,000 diamond necklace.  Show her a picture...and make sure you wrap it up for Xmas and put it under the tree!

In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply. If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it. If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense. Is Common Sense divine?

Colin,

Did you point out to her that some of the components have limited shelf life?    They either have to mounted or refrigerated.

I'm sure she will make the right choice.   It just has to be her decision.....

Mine was an early Xmas present too. I had it shipped to my office, took it home, assembled it, put it in the shack with a bow on it. ;-)

You <obviously> had yours shipped to the wrong location. J
