Hi Guys,
This code is fresh off the java mill, enhanced K3 operation at your fingertips. Especially wanting those familiar with Procat Cool V6 to load and use K3BSR-SM (K3 Band Stacking Registers w/S Meter) version 7.1. Anyone can try this, but those not expecting some small frustration because something does not work 100%, or because something that should have been documented was not - should wait. ;-) The doc guy (me) had a hard time with the code guy (me) last week and once again we are behind schedule. But close enough for beta. !! I'll be doing CW during the contest this weekend but others may want something to do with the K3/PC. http://www.zerobeat.net/mediawiki/index.php/K3_BSR-SM_Version_7 Note - this program has nothing to do with digital modes or remote (internet) operation of K3. It's an operating aid for those (like me) that need it. ... but it requires the outdated VBRUN300.DLL in order to run SETUP.EXE. If the app is programmed in Java, why not distribute it as Java archive? 73, Markus |

looks nice - found 'setupkit.dll' with google, vbrun300 was on my system with another obsolete program, and got it running - only to find you have limited it to Com 8... My K3 is on COM 13 .... good luck 73 John VE3NFK

I found that I can look at my USB serial adaptor computer setting and change the comport address. You may be able to change the com port from com 8 to com 1-4. Just keep irq conflicts in mind. Hi Ted
Thanks for the comment _ I am ok with com ports (got 14 ! ) but my 1-8 are configured for those items that 'must' be below 9 - not the case with the K3 and the utilities I use with it (TRX-Manager, PowerSDR, Skimmer, K3 Util; and occasional HRD) 73 John VE3NFK 2009/12/5 wp4cw [via Elecraft] <[hidden email]>: > > I found that I can look at my USB serial adaptor computer setting and change > the comport address.
