Not quite sure what you're trying to say ...
"Move on" ... to what? I don't know of a kit that's anywhere close to being an alternative to the K3 ... or the K2, for that matter. 73! Sounds as if he just likes to build stuff, not so much actually use it.

Fellow Elecrafters:
I have had a strange problem with my K2, that I've both discussed previously on the list and discussed with Scott at Elecraft. The problem was that the rotation of the tuning knob would occasionally feel rough on my fingertips as it turned, and I heard what I thought were clicking sounds whenever I got the rough feeling. Jim, KA1SU, figured out what was really gong on. The little ring that holds the shaft of the encoder in position in the encoder body was catching on the fibers of the felt washer behind the tuning knob. The clicks were the sound of felt fibers ripping out of the washer, and the "roughness" of feel was the abrupt jerk of the tuning knob as the fiber pulled free. The felt washer was torn up pretty badly. How's that for bizarre? 73, Steve Kercel AA4AK _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
