Topband Dinner at Visalia

Jim Brown-10
Friends,

I'm trying to reserve a seat at the Visalia topband dinner, and just
tried to post a request on the Topband reflector asking the person
organizing the dinner to contact me. W4ZV, the administrator of
topband, rejected my post as inappropriate. Huh? Since when is a
topband dinner at a major hamfest off topic of a topband email list?

Anyhow, I'm still trying to reserve a seat at the Visalia topband
dinner. Would someone pass the word for me to whoever is organizing
it?

Thanks and 73,

Jim Brown K9YC

For those too lazy to do a simple search for "visalia 2009" in the Topband archives, they're compelled to post to ~1700 subscribers on that list and then another ~2700 here.  The link below with the answer to this question was even included in my rejection notice:

http://lists.contesting.com/archives//html/Topband/2009-01/msg00310.htm

Is it too much to expect folks to actually read the content of messages sent to them privately?  Is it too much to learn to use archive searches?  I think not.

Did it ever occur to you that at least SOME of those 1700
subscribers to the TOPBAND reflector might also be interested in a
TOPBAND dinner at a major hamfest, and that a part of the reason for
my post was to promote interest in that dinner?  Or was that WHY you
rejected my post?

Once more...for the West Coast!  Maybe the 3rd time's the charm!  :-)

The dinner announcement was sent to the Topband list on January 28 (see link below), which was included in my personal email reply to you (apparently not read).  When my memory fails, I usually search the archives first before asking ~1700 Topband folks or ~2700 Elecraft folks.  With this post, now 4 X 2700 = 10,800 unnecessary emails have been sent.

In the interest of noise reduction, this is my last reply on this subject.
