How big is the check you are willing to send?  I have no inside track on pricing, but as an engineer, and estimating the size of the market, and what you are asking I don't think that 10 grand would be unreasonable.  Would you still want to jump in line at that price, maybe higher?  Or are you looking to get one at a bargain price?

At least for 1296, that's not possible at the moment.
DEM is redesigning their transverters for this band.
No idea when it will be available.
