If the tree is in your yard, remove the device and saw it open.
However, if the tree is NOT in your yard, remove the device and saw it open. Eventually somebody will come looking for it, possibly accompanied by the local sheriff. 73, Charlie k3ICH -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of kevinr Sent: Sunday, January 07, 2018 6:39 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Very off topic, but trying to get info... Geocaching ethics require landowner permission before
establishing a cache. Did you win anything for finding the cache?

As a near neighbor to Saguaro National Park at one time I knew the Chief Ranger
on a first name basis. He used to keep up with the geocache website and remove caches as soon as they got listed. As a related activity I recovered some benchmarks placed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s that hadn't been seen since. For example: https://www.geocaching.com/mark/log.aspx?LUID=8299491b-98ab-4bd2-8b55-776becdc3401 Wes N7WS On 1/7/2018 6:21 PM, Bill Frantz wrote: > Geocaching ethics require landowner permission before establishing a cache.
