W4A - Alabama SOTA Association

W4JBB
For those who may be interested, a new Association, W4A - Alabama
(http://www.sota.org.uk/Associations/viewAssociation/prefix/W4A), has
joined SOTA.

Thanks go to Dennis Martin, WA2USA, for getting the ball rolling and
spear-heading this.

There is not yet an Association Reference Manual (ARM) posted, but I
have been told you can go and activate and work summits.  The ARM should
be posted soon.

I'm new to all this SOTA business so I hope there are not a lot of
questions that I cannot answer.  ;)

73,
Joel - W4JBB

Re: [KX3] W4A - Alabama SOTA Association

In reply to this post by W4JBB
Joel,

Congratulations on the new W4A-Alabama SOTA Association!

I just checked and the SOTA database does indeed have the Alabama summits already included with a 1 SEPT 2013 start date.

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.  WØM-Missouri just started in February 2013 so I'm a bit new myself, but it was a very enjoyable process in working with the SOTA Management Team in the UK.  Dennis, WA2USA, is a very experienced SOTA enthusiast.  I worked him a couple of times this week-end from two different Missouri summits as I participated in the North America SOTA Week-End.

We have a lot of friends in the Huntsville area, so I'll be sure to pack my KX3 for a Monte Sano activation on our next trip South.
