It seems as if Yaseu has some auto designers, or
civil engineers - designing their human interfaces, and displays. For some reason the only can design "yellow/orange" displays - they all look the same. Must be a fire sale on these displays. They are not attractive IMHO. Kenwood has had their share of these displays too. Look at the display on the IC-7000 - at least it is attractive, if small. ..... waiting on K3 Fred, de N3CSY ____________________________________________________________________________________ Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell. http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Um, you might want to check out the display on the FT-2000. And if you
don't like yellow/orange displays, you'll be bummed when you get your K3. The K3's display is amber, with a wavelength hand-optimized for maximum mojo :) 73, Wayne N6KR --- http://www.elecraft.com _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. While I have since sold it, I do feel compelled to state that the FT-857 (& FT-897) has many colors selectable, in oranges, blues, reds and probably another one or two I'm forgetting. 73, Mike KW1ND _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. The Mojo is burnt in with a high-stick factor. One looses Mojo due to energy imbalance (Karmastörungen) leading to smoke loss. And as we all know electronics are smoke driven. vy 73 de toby PS: T minus 10 days and counting.... -- DD5FZ, 4N6FZ (ex dj7mgq, dg5mgq, dd5fz) K2 #885, K2/100 #3248 K3/100 #??? And as we all know > electronics are smoke driven. Perhaps you missed a recent technical bulletin....all Elecraft products are now shipped with SRM(Self Replicating MoJo). Research indicated that some competitor's products that are shipped without Mojo were leaching the vital energy resources, and thus SRM is now incorporated into Elecraft products. Aptos officials announced that rather than ship products with MRTO(Mojo Return to Originator) devices which could diminish overall operations, they would rather offer SRM. SRM can only be installed in Elecraft products. If an attempt is made to install in a non-Elecraft product, a computer generated voice announces "Ha Ha, you loose" 73 Thom k3hrn,EIEIO Email, Internet, Electronic Information Officer www.baltimorehon.com/ Home of the Baltimore Lexicon www.tlchost.net/hosting/ Web Hosting as low as 3.49/month _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. As I am sure you know, gaseous Mojo usually has a smoke like appearance, which is why it so import that the "smoke" does not escape from electronic devices. As the well known Prof. Dr. Eso Teric realized several decades ago the same relation can be seen in the degree of positive Karma when compared with the density of incense smoke. vy 73 de toby PS: I think we might be gittin' a bit stir crazy while the Big Damn Heroes in Aptos work their wonders. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. I've always thought it interesting that in most any group there are a few folks who work out of the box and assemble some ordinary things into creative items. My dad was an engineer with quite a few patents, and I was always amazed at how he and his crew of folks could whack plastic and metal and electronic gizmos into something that had never been seen before. We hams have a background of doing that...and I suppose there are a few of us that whack words instead of/or in addition to electronics. I'm looking forward to an onslaught of Mojoisms as soon as the K3s show up in the field.... 73 Thom - k3hrn,EIEIO Email, Internet, Electronic Information Officer www.baltimorehon.com/ Home of the Baltimore Lexicon www.tlchost.net/hosting/ Web Hosting as low as 3.49/month _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
