WTB K3/10 or K3/100

N1IX-2
I am looking for a K3/10 or minimally configured K3/100 to use as a second
radio for SO2R.

If you want to upgrade to the new K3S I may be in the market for your
existing K3.

Please contact me off list.

I am at my "shack" machine now. I decided that while I still
had the antennae disconnected, I would scan the 6M band for
birdies. Bandwidth set at the usual CW mode, 400 Hz, tuning
from the bottom of the band upwards.

Preamp is OFF unless otherwise indicated.

_CW - 400kc filter_
50.195.25     <S1 - No reading on S meter preamp Off. S1
just flickering with External Preamp(PR6) ON
50.197.80                ditto
Nothing else heard up to at least 50.300

_Now opening up the bandwidth to 1 Kc (1.8kc filter engaged)..._
50.114.9        S1
50.152.14     VERY weak
50.195.89     < S1 but stronger than previous one
50.198.12     VERY Weak
50.240.58     VERY VERY Weak... even with preamp ON
50.278.22     VERY weak
Stopped at 50.300

_Opening bandwidth up to 2.8 kc__  (I have the 8 pole 2.8kc
filter)_
50.050.56     Weak... S1 just flickering
50.115.35     S2. S3-4 with preamp ON
50.152.6       VERY weak
50.196.44     VERY weak
50.198.33     VERY weak
50.240.60     VERY VERY weak... even with preamp ON.
50.278.76     Weak... S1 just flickering
Stopped at 50.300

The strongest birdie I am experiencing here is with CW mode,
2.8kc filter and  preamp off. I reconnected the 6M beam and
the strength of the birdies is unchanged. That "strong"
birdie is at 50.115.35 or so, S2 with no preamp, and S3-4
with external preamp ON.

When I installed the new KSYN3A boards, I took no special
precautions on dressing the TMP cables other than trying to
approximate the routing shown in the instructions.

I reconnected my beam and spot checked a few data points and
the birdies are still present and the same relative
strengths. The only one that might cause me some distress is
the one at abt 50.115, and I can remove that with the firmware.
