I know you asked for a direct reply, but the answer is that nobody is using it because it
is not fully implemented yet. It is one of the top items on Elecraft's to-do list.

I think it is fully implemented now. I don't actually use it, but I tried it out and it appeared to work.

You are correct, my original statement was wrong. I have been informed that there was a
problem in the initial implementation but it has been fixed and is working.
