Yamaha CM500 - Purchase from outside North America

VK1DW
Hi All

Back in November I sought advice on purchasing the Yamaha CM500 headset from
outside North America and the List responded as one would expect with lots
of assistance.  In late November I advised the List Andy's Music had
accepted an order.  I was too quick - they reneged after two days when they
realised the delivery was not within North America.  Just before Christmas I
had success from YamahaMusicSoft    <http://www.yamahamusicsoft.com/>  .
The price was more than the discount stores but the international shipping
by USPS was much less and the total cost was quite competitive with the
other stores.  To those Users in Europe who were also having difficulty
purchasing the CM500 I can recommend you try Yamaha Music Soft.  Even in the
busy period before Christmas their service was quick and efficient.

Once again my thanks to all those responded to my request - I am pleased
with the headset which is now in constant use.

A belated Happy New Year to all Elecraft devotees.

Yamaha CM500 - Purchase from outside North America

I too had fast, efficient service from YamahaMusicSoft online when I bought my
CM500's. Shipping cost was very competitive to AU.  And from memory, the cost
of the CM500's wasn't that much greater than the other online discounters,
which, wouldn't/couldn't ship downunder anyway.

Speaking of "icing", it is not "a cakewalk" here getting in and out of
our private road.  It is still iced over, and I had to tow the mailman
out of our subdivision road with the 4 wheel drive pickup - 2 wheel
drive vehicles could not make it with the watery surface on top of the
slowly melting ice.

Sorry, but this is OT, but the phrase tickled my "funny-bone".

  Gary,

I am glad to hear you are safe.  Be as comfortable as you can given the
circumstances.  Tsunamis and floods are 'scary' things - I would rather
be snowbound - that is usually only an inconvenience, but floods can be
deadly.
